SAN DIEGO PODCASTING PANEL!

On Thursday July 24th:
5:00-6:00 The Third Annual Comics Podcasting Panel— The best of the best in comics podcasting returns to San Diego for the third annual discussion of comics podcasting and how it's affected the comics media. A no-holds-barred discussion with comics podcasters Bryan Deemer and Peter Rios (Comic Geek Speak), Charlito and Mr. Phil (Indie Spinner Rack), Joe Gonzalez and Jimmy Aquino (Comic News Insider), Josh Flanagan and Conor Kilpatrick (iFanboy), and John Mayo and Bob Bretall (Comic Book Page). Room 32AB

From what I understand, now to be moderated by Fred Van Lente instead of Rick Remender. Only five podcasts represented? I thought for sure there'd be more.

Anyway - stop by, wear your CGS shirt and come with good questions. Frankly, you hear us talk all the time - what more could we possibly say? I want to hear from YOU! We may also use this night as a good time to gather everyone for an impromptu listener meetup/dinner.

See you there!

FROM THE MOUTH OF...

Chuck Dixon:

"...because it's a given that DC has the best heroes, and Marvel has the best villains. The bench on villains at DC is very thin..."

GRANT MORRISON'S BODY OF WORK!

Is currently being ranked over on thecomicforums.com.

It's making me want to reread everything he's done since Animal Man and Arkham Asylum.

I need to get back to building my Morrison library.

QUESTION...

..for the 10 readers or so of this "blog" (ha):

I'm looking to start chronicling my comic collection starting from the earliest comics I own in an attempt to lay out just how my understanding of this super-mythology developed. Remember that scene in High Fidelity where Rob is organizing his collection into the order he purchased them? It's like that.

So my question is: Do I write it down here on this blog as an ongoing project or do I use the method that I've come to love and do well at: podcasting. If I podcast, it would be a mix of the Uncanny X-Cast's Retro Reviews with a splash of Derek Coward's Reader Feed covered in a whole lot of CGS Footnotes.

So which do I do?
